I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair.
Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets.
Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me,
all day I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.
I hunger for your sleek laugh,
your hands the color of a savage harvest,
hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails,
I want to eat your skin like a whole almond.
I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body,
the sovereign nose of your arrogant face,
I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes,
and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight,

hmmm. congrats. i worry that gv8's readership presence on this blog will reduce v's honesty and posting frequency. which would be sad. but that is my selfishness and i wish you both well - kick some marital ass.

ReplyDeleteThis proposal must have knocked you off your feet emotionally and physically. My head is spinning just thinking about it. So how did he actually ask you? I mean we jumped from the date with PD and the trip to San Fran, to "Guess what he popped the big "Q"", lol, details girlfriend, for those of us who live vicariously through our fellow bloggers. tee hee. I would love to do a portrait of the 2 of you as a wedding present. Think about it and let me know. Of course I will need a photograph, lol. Lots of Luv, Suzie Q
